Open Jeugd Kampioenschap Arnhem (OJKA)
| Bij extreem weer extreme resultaten! | Zaterdag 4 februari knalden de ASV-teams weer het jaar in met zeer fraaie resultaten. Om te beginnen mocht ons oudste jeugdteam ASV AB dit seizoen voor de allereerste keer spelen en won met 3-1 wat direct een gedeelde 1e plek oplevert. In een onderling duel met De Cirkel moet op de 2e dag uitgemaakt worden wie OSBO-kampioen wordt.
In de C-Topklasse werd voor het eerst in nieuwe samenstelling gespeeld. We moesten het stellen zonder eerstebordspeler Xadya die verleden week 15 jaar geworden is en niet meer mee mocht spelen. Maar onder haar aanmoediging langs de kant ging het opnieuw formidabel met ons "NK-team"!
We moesten ons eerst laten zien tegen de andere hoofdteams. Net als ASV hebben Het Kasteel en Veenendaal alleen hun hoofdmacht in de Topklasse. De 5 andere teams zijn maar van 2 clubs: Schaakmaat en De Toren. Maar tegen deze hoofdteams ging het prachtig; 2 x een overwinning en dus 4 matchpunten middels 2,5-1,5 en 3-1, die laatste door een mooie zege van Xadya's vervanger aan bord 1: Tom want hij hanteerde perfect time-management en joeg de tegenstander door de vlag.
Het was duidelijk. ASV wil opnieuw naar het NK!
In het Olympus moest nu nog driemaal tegen De Schaakmaat en tweemaal tegen De Toren gespeeld worden. De kampioen van vorig jaar en uitgelezen favoriet is De Toren C1 maar op die match is het wachten tot het einde. We zullen de buit dus voordien al binnen moeten hebben.
Tegen Schaakmaat C1 was het cruciaal. Wat konden we bereiken tegen dit Apeldoornse vlaggenschip? Het werd een bijzonder fraaie 2-2 dus behoud van onze ongeslagen status! Daarna moest tegen de reserves uit Apeldoorn weer de winst gepakt worden en dankzij nieuwkomer Alain lukte dat keurig: 3-1.
Zo staan we met 7 matchpunten bovenaan! Maar met de gigant De Toren C1 nog tegoed. Gigant? Waar heb je dat eerder gehoord? Ja, verleden week, zelfde locatie, zelfde tijdstip, werd Pieter gehuldigd als Arnhems Kampioen en benoemd als Gigant... dat kunstje herhaalde hij nu in teamverband maar ditmaal in gezelschap! Want Fabian is Gigant no. 2 van ASV door net als Pieter al zijn potjes te winnen; 4 uit 4!
Op 3 maart gaan we verder met de Topklasse C waarin het cruciale duel verleden seizoen die tegen De Toren C2 was. Als we dat dit jaar weer kunnen keepen dan lonkt het NK opnieuw voor ASV!

How about getting a math book and look up Sphere and you will find that all spheres are circles but not all circles are spheres. Get a real big thick dictionary and look up Circle. You will find words like compass(which is another definition of the orginal hebrew word), sphere. Now take a picture of you sitting on that flat circle. Not an airial shot but just a strait on shot so that the person looking at it can see you really good. Show it to someone and ask them what you are sitting on.

we weten het toch al lang: inzet loont. wie het probleem weet te pakken, staat meteen een voor. wat mogen de teams trots zijn, dat ze het success scherp weten te prolongeren. chapeau, petje af en door gaan, tot we samen zijn.

Super resultaat hoor! We waren zelf druk met het AB en daarna moesten we helaas weer snel weg maar nu ik dit lees weet ik dat het met het ASV C team dik in orde gaat komen dit seizoen!

Op naar de volgende ronde en onderschat je tegenstanders nooit.Die zullen proberen je \"beentje te lichten\".
Daarom degelijk en lekker vrijuit spelen.
